Minnesota is getting 5-7 inches according to the weather. We get ice pellets and snow! grrr.

Only in Chicago do you get 60 degrees and massive flooding one day, followed by snow the next.

hey - anyone have a report on the street conditions near downtown ?  i.e. are they slippery ??

it's been sleeting, snowing off-and-on all day downtown. thanks in advance

I am at the Daley Center with a window looking west.  Have seen almost no precipitation outside of a bit around noon.  Looking at the street I can see--Randolph and Clark--looks dry to me.

There is a lot of water in that river right now--who knows? :-)  I am about to head out and was quite excited to see that "strong winds might be causing power outages" and winds are WSW at 23 gusting to 40.  Should be fun, especially around the tall buildings getting out of the Loop.

Lakefront Trail from Lawrence to Navy Pier was fine at around 3pm. Well, fine except for occasional hail hitting me in the face and an awful headwind. But not slippery.

So it was dry, but whatever the precipitation was was sharp!  And it was a nasty headwind going west.

I rode today in strong winds and light hail.  (Light, but still pretty sharp on the face.)

Funny, the headwinds were N/S/E/W...
I had to take the LFP north after work and swore it was coming out of the north, then came back south on Halsted and swore it was coming from the south, but when I turned west....I knew then where it was coming from. The crosswind was strong enough that it felt like its coming from all directions.
Woke up to about 1/2" of crusty snow on the ground...

A nice, clear chilly morning for a bike ride. Got in a couple miles before work today.
