Bike has been Sold. Thank you for looking.
Hey Chainlinkers! That bittersweet time has come where I have decided to upgrade, and I must let go of one of my bicycles. Some of you might remember this bicycle from it's recovery story found here: Stolen Bike Story
Despite the huge sentimental value of this bike, I have decided that this is the one that has to find a new home. This bike is well loved, I have had a lot of great miles on this bike over the last several years. I am the first owner. Bike has numerous cosmetic flaws from being used, but was recently overhauled by the REI Bike Shop (New BB, Cables, Cable Housing, cassette & Derailleur pulleys. Plus Headset & Hub Rebuilds) so the bike rides pretty much like it did when I first got it.

You cannot sell your used gear for less than you paid for it? And that is REI's policy?
I get a significant discount...so I cant sell it at retail value. This set up is being sold for less than I paid for it. Thanks for clarifying!
Kiltedcelt - Thanks! I have loved riding this bike, so I hope it goes to a good home :-) Thanks for the handlebar approval, I found the lower riding position to be a bit more comfortable and it worked better for the cable routing. and good catch on the Stem Captain mount! You are correct - The Stem Captain mount comes with the bike as well...just add your own insert.

That is a seriously awesome rig! Whoever buys this is going to be getting a really sweet deal, especially with the racks, bags, and the hub dynamo lighting system. If I didn't already have pretty much the same thing, just custom built on a Nashbar touring frame, I'd be all over this ride. I dearly love a fully-loaded touring/commuting rig. I notice that you mounted your trekking bars facing downwards (an uncommon way to mount them - but I approve), and that it looks like you had a Stem Captain accessory of some sort at one time.
If you ever wanted to sell them piece by piece, I'd be interested on those rear panniers.
Thanks J.A.W. - At this point I'd like to keep it all together, but If I decide to part it out, I'll let you know.
