A new lock on Kickstarter

Here.

What do you think? Would it weaken the seat post? (I'm not sure, may be the idea is to make a special one for this thingy.)

I wouldn't consider it because the cable seems to be really flexible if at least 20ft is stuffed into a seat post. To me flexibility means easy to cut; I would still stick with my trust u-locks.

This InterLock seat post bike lock will likely be a hit with the rider who is more concerned about fashion versus function. 

I wonder how that TiGr bike lock product is doing? It was also funded through Kickstarter a few years back. It's a fairly unique design for a lightweight, less-cumbersome, yet strong bike lock.

My mountain bike was stolen from a Metra station last year. Since then, I no longer carry a bike lock... I just carry my bike onto the train since it's a folding bike. Then when I get to my office, I don't need to lock it up, it just gets stashed under my desk.

I don't think it's really meant to be a primary lock. I like concept as a secondary lock to secure the rear wheel. I use a u-lock for my primary and carry a cable for the secondary after my rear wheel was stolen in broad daylight outside union station. The cable is obviously easy to get through, but it is definitely a deterrent. I think this is a pretty cool product.

I would actually love this as a secondary lock. I already use a cable lock to secure the rear wheel and the saddle. (I've had a saddle stolen). It's annoying finding a place to put the lock when not in use and it takes time to thread it all together.

It looks like a great idea outside the city, but for college students and city dwellers this thing would be cut through in seconds

I use two locks in Chicago so I would definitely use this as my second lock so I only have to carry one.

I really want to get one of these locks, but I'm not sure about the length. I wish they made one in a mini format, I think it would be easier to carry around, I don't like the idea of wrapping it around my head tube and top tube.
