On cold days like today, I notice that my saddle gets really cold, to the point that my perineum does get uncomfortably cold. I don't think it caused by the wind. I wear underwear, long johns and high quality pants made out of a WWR shell.
The saddle is a cheap WTB one.
Anyone have similar experiences and tried to solve it?

I never had a problem with cold in that area. Fingers and toes yeah, but the perineum... usualy t'aint a problem.
It's cold, not just numb, right? Maybe the extra layers are restricting bloodflow to weird areas?
I had a girl once tell me she doesn't ride because.... "it" falls asleep (gets numb). Food for thought?

Is the saddle padded? I swapped in cheap well-padded saddle for wet weather, to save my Brooks. It had the unplanned benefit of insulating me from the cold.
My saddle never warmed up on my 2 mile ride to the metra today. The bike I ride to the loop stays inside so I don't have the same issue.
The saddle is a cheap plastic WTB one that came on the bike. If it has padding, it is minimal.
And it is not numbness that is causing the problem either. I still have feeling in that area. It's just plain cold.
