I may be looking to sell my '89 Cannondale frame as I am looking to downsize. Any idea as to the value?

Varies a lot with condition and timing.  I picked up a mint complete 1990 with tricolor Shimano 600 (DT shifters) locally for $250, but a really nice frameset could bring close to that on ebay.  If it's dented or has paint bubbling, it would bring considerably less.  Looking at completed ebay listings, I found a couple of decent ones that sold.  One nice frameset for $155 plus shipping, and a complete (lacking saddle) 105 bike for $275 shipped.  At the low end, a complete but beat up older SR500 that sold for $150 shipped ($90 + $60).

I sold my old complete SR300 for $150 last year. No dents, but the paint had bubbled or peeled in many places. The components and wheels were in OK condition but not worth much on their own.

Last year several similar bikes without paint issues were on CL for $250 - $350.

Thanks guys, no real paint issues (black, gold lettering) Shimano 105, Cinelli Volare SLX saddle.

Anyone interested before I hit CL?

What size is it?  If it is a 1989, that was originally a SunTour Edge equipped bike (SR500).  I have part of that group on hand, would be fun to try to track down the rest of it.  They painted the 3.0 frames black with gold from 1988 -1990.  The latter two years had cantilever dropouts.  I think the 1989 says only "Cannondale" on the top tube, the 1990 has something in smaller print underneath.

My first good bike was a 1989 SM800, also black with gold and SunTour equipped.  It was stolen in Champaign in 1995.

It has 105 components. If memory serves me I got the bike in 87/88 as it came with me when i went off to university. Only says Cannondale on top tube.

Size is 24.5/62.2 cm based on whet the seat tube meets the frame, that said the frame does extend about an inch and a half above the top tube.
