Free Wi-Fi at Millennium Park - Now you have no excuse not to check The Chainlink!

From Crains - Free Wi-Fi will be available throughout Millennium Park, effective immediately. That's part of a City Hall initiative that also calls for bringing low-cost Internet to 15 emerging business zones and offering free Wi-Fi in every city park. Mayor Emanuel is planning to announce today his "broadband challenge," which would involve leasing public assets to those who will build gigabit-speed networks, helping to position Chicago for the digital age.

Nice, though about ten years too late, as faster 4G nets already cover the area. But still a nice city amenity.

But you have to pay for that, right?  This is free, but yes, it had to be fest for it to be useful.  I paid $5 last month to use wifi on a plane and it sucked. waste of money.
