Some years ago there was a shop around here that had an alignment table and jig; they corrected my old steel bike at the time. i think they're gone now.

i have a steel frame bike that i had a mishap on a couple of days ago. Nothing looks bent or dented, but i suspect she may have torqued a bit.

i'll do the breakdown and bring in a bare frameset to whomever can do an alignment. Thanks for any info!

Before you take it all apart take it to any shop and have it checked to see if it needs to be cold set or not; you do not have to take it all apart to tell that.

Oscar Waystin is the shop that cold sets in Chicago.

Owen Lloyd at Blue City Cycles (http://www.bluecitycycles.com/)

RRB in the northern suburbs used to be the place to go, I would call them and see if they still can help

It's a lot farther to go, but I took a bike to Waterford in Wisconsin to have it repainted.  They did an alignment check as part of the deal.

I recommend Jesse at Comrade Cycles, 1908 W. Chicago Ave.  He repaired the frame on my 1987 Trek 400.

How much does it cost to get a frame cold set, anyways? I'm looking to put some 700C spaced at 130mm; currently it's 126mm.
