anyone interested in a pre-ride?

Fully loaded or not?

I might be up for the weekend of the 21st or the 5th for a pre-ride.

not loaded at all.  couldnt do the 21st, and def not the 5th.  28th or 6th seem like the only available dates for me.  its a lot of miles for one day, too.  hmm.

I might join you this year.  If you can't get Whitewater Lake, you can check Ottawa Lake or Pine Woods.  Either way, you'll have to check in at Ottawa Lake.  I went to Ottawa Lake in July of last year and was glad I could jump in for a swim with all the heat I had to ride through.  If I do come, I'll be taking the Glacial Drumlin Trail toward Dousman, as I'll be coming from Milwaukee.  I can take trails practically all the way there.

I"m up for a pre-ride on the 6th.  10:30 out of downtown.  12:35, 4:35, 6:35, 8:35 back.

Have we come up with a decision as to which campgrounds we're going to use?  Do we need to make reservations?

Count me in.  BTW, Ottawa Lake is year-round, so there's a certainty of being able to camp there.  If the weather's hot enough, pack swimwear so you can take a dip in the lake.

we probably wont need reservations. if we do, i have to admit i dont feel like being the one responsible to do so.

also, i realized that the 6th comes immediately after the 5th, the 5th being cinco de mayo, and a fundraiser/party at CHAOS Brew Club. im fairly certian i will not have all my faculties about me on the 6th.

+ FBC the evening of the 5th ;)

Has anyone checked with WisDNR to find out which campgrounds will be open on May 12-13?   If so, let me know so that I can make plans to join you.

Will you guys book a group site? Suddenly my family is splitting town and leaving me to my own devices.

My husband I would like to join you.  It would be our very first bike camping trip. Are newbies welcome?  Thanks!  -April
