A.M. moist
P.M. rock'in, sprung me two hours early.
Gene, thanks for sharing.
PM ride was intense--20ft visibility on the Lake Front Trail, weekend warriors looming and then speeding out of the fog, no lights. Got the blood up.
took a ride last night, when I got to the Lincoln Park Zoo and the animals were going bonkers I knew something was brewing. Riding down the LFP the lightning show was amazing over the lake made it to Grand and LSD before the clouds opened up. Rain Coat on and off for a great wet ride through the city. Nice to see all the others still enjoying two wheels despite the deluge and a thanks to my rabbit along Milwaukee, nice to ride w you for a few blocks before our directions split.
I had a nice little ride just now. It's kind of weird how the weather is cooler and gloomy as it rightfully should be.
Anyways, I stopped over at Smart Bike Parts to see Mr. Puetz about a pannier. He's an awesome dude, and probably one of the more personable LBS owners/employees I've ever met.

Breakfast club ride met at the clock tower as scheduled and was superbly led by Sharon of CCC. Or is it EBC? Enjoyable folks to ride and eat with.
Tour of North Park led by Lee, was terrific. He knows his architectural history, facts and details. Bonus for me. We rode through Legion Park where I grew up, processing mass quantities of Stroh's
and Old Style.
Great weather, witty and entertaining people to ride with. In contrast to my commuting which is solo.
An astute observation by Joe from the Breakfast Club Ride. Runners seldom get together for social runs, they're meeting up to compete. Bike driving in a social group can be the complete opposite end of the spectrum. And it's cool for me to learn and participate in different rides. I encourage the growing number of commuters to find a group with a pace you enjoy and BIKES AWAY...

I disagree, there's quite a few social runs happening all around chicago. For example, fleet feet has 3 runs a week at each store including runs dedicated for women. Other running stores tend to have similar things and the various running groups do as well. There's even a running version of the marauders ride/fbc called hash hour harriers that's been going on around the world since the late 1930s.
Whoops, couldn't think straight today (when can a wingnut?).
The architectural tour Lee Diamond led went pasted Bohemian National Cemetery, Foster, Pulaski,
Bryn Mawr and North Eastern Univ. U.S. Marshals, Tommy Lee, Wesley Snipes and Robert Downey Jr. was filmed there in '98. ; )
I couldn't spit that factoid out to save my life earlier today.
