Is that for real? If so, you're a grade 'A' certified badass, Gene.
I think it's funny how Gene is somewhat of a celebrity among us. Spotting the Flamingo Trike is like winning the prize. lol.
There should be a new discussion: "I saw Gene today. Did you?"

Eh, correction. For whatever reason, I thought the caption was noting who was *in the water*.
Still, that's a cool picture, Gene.
Ayup.

Agreed as edited.

I do not think there are any prevailing winds on the lakefront path, [they are] always ... in your face.

"goddamn it was windy on my ride in this morning.
it's been stupid windy here in the windy city for the last 4 days now.
why is the air always in such a damn rush to be somewhere else? just chill."

Thanks Dan that sums it up completely for me.
The weather is absolutely wonderful. My only gripe with this morning is that I overdressed by wearing a baselayer, thin merino sweater and a windbreaker. I could have done without the windbreaker, as I arrived to work drenched in sweat. But, I'll gladly take that over 20 degree mornings, any day. Have fun out there, folks!
I think I caught the illusive tailwind last night.... Or maybe it was just not having a headwind. Anyway, loved my commute home (felt fast).
The ride in was amazing... I, like Jim, was over dressed - Base layer and fleece jacket was way too much. I'll take it!! Have a great one! (Hopefully those 50+mph winds stay away... Ha ha!)
