Participatory Budgeting - Ward Infrastructure Project List Presentation, August 25th
Alderman Pawar invites you to a presentation of the public infrastructure projects that he will soon be submitting to the City of Chicago based on City data and input from the community. Every year each of the 50 wards receives about a million dollars, called the "menu" fund, for repairing streets, alleys, curbs, speed humps, etc. This also includes any new construction projects on the public way, such as: upgrading street lights, new benches, street bump-outs and other special infrastructure projects. We are also identifying green infrastructure projects that do a better job of managing storm-water. These projects can also be applied to municipal buildings like police stations, firehouse, libraries and public schools. Join the alderman at the ward office, 4243 N. Lincoln Avenue, on August 25, Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00PM, and come see our list and give us your feedback! If you are not able to attend please check our website for the information from the presentation. Also, please feel free to send us any ideas for projects at: info@chicago47.org.Thank you for participating in the process.

I'll try to go If I dont go to a film fest.

Just went to this but had to leave early - great presentation and nice turnout. Hopefully the office will post information on the website.

Latest on the Lawrence Ave Streetscape from the Alderman's website.

Any idea when the work will start?

Why not bumps out on every side street? Apparently that is possible east of the Metra line, but west of it for some reason that is not possible....
