The problem with LEDs is that that will strobe without a rectifier circuit. Do modern LED headlamps for dyno hubs already have this built it? I use Halogen bulbs with my Dyno hubs, but I use vintage headlamps.
You can attach most any dynohub specific LED lights to the GH6 hub. I have one running a Planet Bike one watt dyno headlamp, and a normal incandescent tailight. It is nice because the low power draw of the headlight leaves the tailight nice and bright.
One can also build some LED lights, but I'm not sure how complex you want to get. The nice thing about building them is being able to use cool vintage housings.
Owen, does the modern Planet Bike headlamp have the rectifier circuit already?

I also recently noticed the Planet Bike Dynohub LED headlamp and wondered if it is any good? I have a similar problem--dyno hub on classic Raleigh ('73 Superbe). I have the taillight and some wiring but no headlamp. Can you rig an original taillight to the Planet Bike headlamp?
I am interested in this as well. I have an RSW, that has dyno hub, some wiring and a tail light, but no headlamp- would love to have lighting on this.
I rigged up my own using Cree Q5 LEDs and a few electronical bits in the original housings. Did it on my 68 Superbe and my kids 76 Sports and I don't think I had more than thirty bucks tied up in both units. The lights pulse while walking the bikes but anything faster and the lights are steady and bright.

Buy the GH107. It is a 5 volt bulb, but it works very well with the Sturmey Archer Dyno Hub.

I run LED tail lights and head lights with the GH6 and the combination dynoIG hubs. No issues. AFAIK all off the shelf LED bicycle lights designed for generator use have the necessary circuitry built in. My best set up is on my Raleigh Twenty. I use the AG (Sturmey Archer 3 speed with generator) hub to power up the B&M Lumotec Cyo headlight and the B&M 4D-Lite fender mount tail light. I am currently waiting for the newest generation of B&M Classic to come out. It is a large chrome housing with the LED Lumotec Lyt in it. It will look great on a vintage bike and be a huge improvement over the old incandescent lights, and should power up well with the GH6 hubs. FWIW the old dyno hubs only put out 1.6-1.8 watts versus the 2.4-3 watts of the new generators. Bottle generators have typically put out 3 watts, even the old ones.

B&M just came out with a really nice bullet LED lamp with an on/off switch for dynohubs -it even has a standlight and a daylight sensor option if you want to pay a little more for those too.
