Just a reminder that the greenest restaurant in the USA will treat you to a discount when you ride your bike to either of their locations. Uncommon Ground is in Wrigleyville and Edgewater.

Glenwood and Devon is so Rogers Park. :)
Tab is pretty meh as far as retro soft drinks go. Do they serve Fresca? ;)
I agree with Ryan. Glenwood seems pretty far west to be in Edgewater.
But whatever we call it, thanks for the pointer Melissa!
The north side of Devon maybe, but not the south side...

Tony, Edgewater is from 1000 W to 1800 W. Glenwood is 1400 W, running down the exact center of Edgewater. Devon is the northern boundary.

Bike discounts are neat! I think Wishbone gives a discount if you show them your helmet.
Rumor has it that one of our very own Chainlinkers will be performing at the Clark & Grace location on Wednesday the 28th...

I have no connection to the restaurant, but I bet the management would appreciate your mention of it. The contact is probably on their site.

Melissa, do you work at Uncomon Ground? If so you should remind everyone. We went to the edgewater location for drinks and appetizers last night, and when I asked our waitress, she knew nothing about it.
Hey, Everyone-
I am playing a solo acoustic show of original music at Uncommon Ground (Clark & Grace) this Wednesday, 12/28 at 8pm.
Hosted by Matt Campbell of The Chicago Talking Machine. Suggested donation is $5. I hope to see you there.
Happy Holidays!
Thanks, h'. I will.
(Never did take to no book-learnin, I reckon.)

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk.....Glenwood on the north side of Devon is so Rogers Park, but Glenwood on the South side of Devon (where Uncommon Ground is located) is so EDGEWATER.
As you drive east on Devon from Ridge, the sign in front of the railroad tracks even indicates that Rogers Park is on the north side of Devon and Edgewater is on the south side of Devon.
The Edgewater Community Counsel and Edgewater Development Corporation used to exclude the north side of Devon from their service area because it was in Rogers Park, but agreed agreed to extend their area to include the north side of Devon at the urging of local neighbors and the Alderman's office. They were both very instrumental in assisting Uncommon Ground to find and establish their Edgewater location on the southwest corner of Glenwood and Devon.
If you don't believe me, check Wikipedia and then confirm it with Lee Diamond (sorry to bring you into this dispute Lee). Wikipedia says, "Edgewater is a lakefront community area in the North Side of the city of Chicago, Illinois seven miles north of the Loop. As one of Chicago’s 77 official community areas, Edgewater is bounded by Foster Avenue on the south,Devon Avenue on the north, Ravenswood Avenue on the west, and Lake Michigan on the east.[1]" The footnote references the official city of chicago edgewater neighborhood map. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edgewater,_Chicago#cite_note-0
Now that that is settled, it doesn't really matter. Uncommon Ground is awesome. Kudos to them if it is true for offering us sustainable-living-cycling-Chainlink member-types a discount regardless of whether we live in Edgewater, Rogers Park or somewhere else. : ) No mention of the discount on their web site.
