In a Fog......

This year I have added some goggles to my winter riding attire. Based on this site, I purchased some Kroop goggles. I love the fact that my face seems much warmer. However, I do not like the fact they fog up. If moving, most of the fog drys up. But when you stop, it is very hard to see. Even when moving vision is bad. So, my question is, are some goggles better than others? Do you get what you pay for? I am thinking of an early Christmas present to myself......

Haven't tried it. I wear safety glasses because I'm prone to breaking/losing eyewear.

The most reason for the fogging is your breath causing condensation. Any chance you're wearing a mask underneath the goggle's sealant foam? If that's the case, keeping mask and goggles separated will help a lot in preventing the fogging. That's in my experience, of course.

And that may be the problem, the Kroops have no foam. That is why I was wondering if an upgraded pair might be in order. Not sure the Cat Crap would work on these as they are plastic....

Cat Crap works fine on plastic lenses, both goggles and sunglasses, in my skiing experience.  I think it's basically soft candle wax paraffin.  You dab it on, then buff clear.  Make sure you apply it to the interior of the goggle where the moisture collects, not the exterior.  The waxy surface repels water so that it doesn't create a thin film of foggy dew inside the goggle.

Any self-respecting scuba diver simply spits in the mask and rinses with water.
