Hey Chainlinkers,

The Chainlink Halloween Party is just around the corner - Friday night of Halloween, October 28.  We just need a venue!

The bar I had hoped would host us just fell through.  Since the party is only a couple of weeks away and we already have many RSVP's and prizes donated, I thought I'd reach out to the community for suggestions.  Maybe one of you works or owns a venue that would work?

Here are the requirements:

- Must hold at least 300 people (would prefer 500 or more)

- Must be at a bar or place with insurance to serve alcohol

- Must serve food or allow food to be delivered

- Doesn't need to be private to just us

- Must be centrally located (no Rogers Park or Hyde Park)

Send your suggestions to halloweenparty@thechainlink.org or post them here!

Bottom Lounge has an upstairs area, not sure if its available for events though. Its located near ashland and Lake. Revolution has opened an upstairs area as well.

We had our last party there!

They have reserved the room starting at 8 for Salsa dancing that night, but great suggestion.  That's EXACTLY the type of place we are looking for.

Murphy's Irish Bistro? They have great bear, great food and are located near irving park and lincoln (to far north?).  If not we should do a bar night there in general. They also have an upstairs area, though I'm not sure how much it costs, I know one of the bartenders pretty well, so let me know if I can help
Bummer... I'd offer Mayne Stage up, but we're in Rogers Park...

What about Fizz on Lincoln near Belmont? they have the upstairs loft area

Thanks for hating on Hyde Park too (didn't want to feel singled out here). :)

Viaduct Theater on Western? They have a bar and the owners are super cool.

Great ideas folks.  I'm following up on all suggestions.  Keep em coming!
