Is anyone aware of a bike shop or company that will install a bike rack at a private residence?

My bike was recently stolen from my locked garage.  Unfortunately, there was nothing to lock the bike to inside the garage, so the bike was easily taken once the garage door was forced open.  Before purchasing another bike, I would like to install a rack to lock the bike inside the garage.  Is anyone aware of a bike shop or company that will install a bike rack at a private residence?

This company looks like they sell them, but I guess it would be up to you to install it.

Would something like this work? Screwed securely into a stud with a solid ulock around the frame and a wheel might do the trick. Hey the price is right at $7. It's not a 100% fix but it's a far better deterrent than leaving it unlocked in the garage.

I would do a combo of buying a good bike rack to attach to the wall or floor, then call a handy man like Call Clayton to drill it into the wall/floor for you.

I have this inside our enclosed and locked back porch...but I'm sure Home depot will have something that would fit a Ulock.

I'm with Chris B on this. If you're going to keep using your garage as storage, get yourself a floor anchor. Here's a nice array. Some only require drilling (as opposed to concrete work).

I have one of these.  

 

I could defeat that non-welded Eye-bolt in about 7 seconds with a medium-sized screwdriver.   A welded Eye would take a couple more seconds as one would have to actually unscrew it rather than just spread it open.

As Chris C and Kevin C point out, the motorcycle anchor is a good idea. I bet any locksmith will be able to get you one and install it if you don't want to do it yourself. Abus, Kryptonite, etc make them and they're bolted into the concrete floor of your garage. Then a heavy chain can lock on and gives you something to hook more than one bike to. Bikeregistry.com sells heavy security chain for $7 a foot. Lock it into a loop through the anchor and it's a multi-bike rack you can drive over when you're not using it. Anchors are evaluated by Sold Secure and Stichting ART for security; you can get the rankings on their websites.

You can lock it to itself. It can still be picked up and carried away but never leave anything unlocked.

Thanks for all of the recommendations!  I think the motorcycle anchor is a great option and plan on purchasing one.  I absolutely agree with the post about never leaving anything unlocked, even if it is in a secured garage.
