It's not safe to ride with your eyes closed . . .

I think I saw 0 other cyclists this morning.
WINDY.  But, LOTS of bikes on LFP today!  Nice to see.

Mother Nature,

You wear me out!

Sincerely,

Kent

Windy today, but not bad overall.  I agree with Kent- I am also getting a bit wore out from the weather, but in the long run, it just makes us stronger.
I agree about the wind.  I try to look at it as an extra "oomph" to my workout.  Thighs of steel!  But it does wear you out.  And the drizzle by the lake wasn't too pleasant, but better than rain.

yes, i did

i rode to the station as usally. but had to leave the bike behind.  plan was to ride the whole way, but the winds from the WNW werent in my favor, not for 18 miles.  Plan B was the bus, take that as far as itll take me (Grand and Harlem) and ride from there.  Bus wasnt moving fast enough.  A friendly train passenger gave me a lift to the office once in Wood Dale. We talked bikes on the short drive.
talking bike almost counts too

Nice morning for a ride! The temperature was great, I almost wished for a jacket the first few blocks but I warmed up quick. Also, I noticed they're painting bike lanes on Fullerton near the L, on the north (westbound) side of the street! I don't know how far down they go, I was just passing by, but I hope they're going to cover the whole length from Lincoln to Southport at least...
That's good to hear.  Most of my route is either faded away or almost faded away.  I just know they're supposed to be there...

I ride Lincoln every day and I think that there are supposed to be lines down Lincoln toward Southport, but they faded away a while ago. If not lines then there are at least the little sharrows that have faded along that route.

there are hundreds of miles of "ghost bike lanes" that probably only the bikes see but the cars can't quite spy from within their steel and glass cages.   Thee are so many that need painting that by the time they get them all repainted they'll have to start again.  This isn't even including the "new miles" the Mayor wants to put in.
