Help! My supplier for orange mint does not have it this year!

If you've ever made your mojitos with orange mint, you will not want to use any other.

I live by Montrose/Sheridan and work in the Loop.  Can meet there or somewhere in between.  Will pay fair price.

Thanks!

my standard mint is doing amazing, and im also growing orange thyme.  wish i could combine the two for ya.  good luck.
No love.  This will be my year for mediocre mojitos, sigh...

FYI I found some of this toward the end of the season and I'm propagating it indoors now.  It seems to root very quickly.

Mint is the most aggressive herb I've ever dealt with. It sends shoots that can easily be 1-2 feet in a season. It also overwinters well outside.

I was worried about it as it had never been planted in the ground.  I have 'normal' mint at my rental building I'll never be rid of even though I rip out large quantities every year.

That's also been my experience.  Last summer, mint growth in my yard was exceptionally strong.  I found some runners in the fall that were 2-3' long and had grown since May.

I actually did end up with orange mint and it turned out quite well.  Just have to be patient and keep checking the farmer markets.  My wife found this past season's by her office near the Hancock.

I'm up to 2 1-gallon pots of it now; my orange mint is yours when you want it.

Tried some in a drink the other night and it was quite nifty.

I have tons of this now if anyone needs, including a few small ones potted and ready to go.

Barely came back.... gotta be sure to get some in the ground this year.
