Seeking mystery jogger who started CPR on fallen cyclist

It's a big city but a really small world, so I'm hoping someone might have some information.

I'm looking for the female jogger who initiated CPR on a fallen male cyclist on the lakefront path yesterday morning across from Buckingham Fountain. This woman's quick initiation of CPR helped save the cyclist's life, and his family would like to know her identity.

Additionally, there was a man on a DeRosa road bike who helped at the scene, and we'd love to hear from him as well.

If you have any info, please email me at natalie at xxxracing dot org.

Thanks most kindly,

Natalie

This was my friend, i just informed her and she was extremely happy that this man survived. I alerted her to the craigslist post and she will be contacting his daughter. I am very proud of all the kind souls who helped at the scene.

PS: chainlinkers she was a biker, not jogger, she tossed her bike and helmet so they may have thought she was jogging.

bikers ROCK.

dude that is awesome!!!

my team and I went by that tragedy after help had arrived, it was a scary thing to see, I will pass on the news.  What happened?

bikers do rock!

Yes, really, what happened out there?
My mistake, she contacted the man's son ...not daughter. We wish him a quick recovery.

Hey, thepuppies, thanks so much. Would you email me (natalie@xxxracing.org)?

Great news, we've been looking for her all over. Not a heart attack, but a bit of a mystery. Quick action saved his life.

We should all get trained in CPR.  I'm taking a course at the Red Cross next month.  You can too.  And if you volunteer at the Red Cross, you get a free course.

I did CPR on a fallen cyclist many years ago.  I found him on the trail with no one else around.  I'm CPR trained and worked on him for fifteen minutes until the paramedics arrived but his airway was blocked.  The medics had to intubate him, but I don't think he was even alive when I found him.

So I was mouth-to-mouth with a dead guy, but I'd do it again.

Great story. I agree with Kathy--and if we are trained, it's good to get  retrained periodically if you have a sieve brain like I do.  I was trained once, but am  not confident I would know what to do in a medical crisis besides call 911 (which has been the main gist of most of my first aid trainings)
