Why on Earth Would You Pay Attention to Rebecca Black?

So Rebecca Black has 2 threads in the main forum and 1 in Kiddical Mass as I post this. And really i can only ask why over and over?

Is the Chainlink mainly made up of 13yr old girls? Is everyone on Chainlink hearing impaired? Does everyone here really love putrid music?

And how is it being debated that it sends a pro-car message? As much as we rail against cars all it shows is kids sitting in a car. That does happen in reality.

I think there's a worldwide sense that the RB/Friday thing is over.

Rebecca, best of luck to you-- I hope music is always a part of your life and that you find fulfillment in whatever you choose to do professionally.

A whole 2 weeks!? LOL. Now she needs to start dressing in provocative clothes, start drinking and doing drugs, do a porn at 17 in Euorope become the dark haired Lindsay Lohan OR go the other way and go into Christian music.

I enjoy the meme's that have come out of "Friday" so that makes it not so mad to me anymore.

The friday in hell was awesome and Jimmy Fallen bit was epic.

I'm guessing they didn't trademark or copywrite the music since everyone seems to be doing something with it.

Me too.  The whole thing is funny and just goofy whimsical sarcastic fun -other than some of the really mean-spirited threats and insults at RB herself. She's a little girl for chrissakes...  But the whole phenomenon is good for a few laughs.  I'm amazed it has the legs that it does.  It seems to still be growing -not fading out.  I give it another week though.

When it comes to copyright it is usually OK to make satire out of something as that constitutes fair use.

This one kind of disapointed me, it's like he didn't even try.

A bit repetitive maybe?

Guess we'll have to see what happens this upcoming Friday.

I think he just cranked out something quick to be a smartass in part because a bunch of people had done their own deadmau5/rb mashups. I've got the loop as my ringtone now because I want to die.
