The bike community is invited to help celebrate the launch of Where to Bike Chicago on Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 6:00 pm at SRAM, 1333 N. Kingsbury, 4th Floor. Free finger food and drinks will be provided, and we will raffle off prizes, including a couple 2011 Thought You Knew bike calendars, books and other prizes.

A percent of every sale of the new bike guidebook will be donated to World Bicycle Relief, which was founded by SRAM. F.K. Day, one of the founders of SRAM, will speak.

The sturdy, hardcover, spiral-bound guidebook describes 75 rides in Chicago and the suburbs with maps, ride logs and original photography.

At the party, the winners of the Where to Bike Photo Contest will be announced and receive their cash awards. Join us for a fun evening! The author will sign copies of the book.

"This guidebook will increase one's awareness of the possibilities of the bike and expand it's use," says J. Harry Wray, cyclist extraordinaire and Professor of Political Science at DePaul University.

Congrats, Greg! I look forward to checking your book out.
I'll be there!

Congratulations on the big launch! Some of us will be at the event and are looking forward to it!

Thanks much,

NEWS FLASH - I just spoke with Greg Borzo and due to the oncoming blizzard, the SRAM event has been moved to Friday, February 4th. The time and location remain the same - 6:00 pm at SRAM, 1333 N. Kingsbury, 4th Floor. Finger food and drinks will still be provided as well as the previous mentioned prizes and raffle.

I needed to mention another event related to the book (Greg just happened to stop by while typing this up):

There will be another launch event for Where to Bike Chicago earlier in the day Tuesday, February 1st from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm at Rapid Transit Cycleshop, 1900 W North Avenue. Greg Borzo will be here to sign copies and answer questions. Please come by and be the first to get a copy of this compelling book!

We will offer a special 15% discount on any merchandise (except for bicycles) in the store to anyone coming for the event.

Thanks, Eric. I really appreciate your comment. Even though you have the book feel free to come to the event at SRAM on Friday night (6-8 pm). The more the merrier, and SRAM and the World Bicycle Relief are great organizations. Cheers, Greg
