This month an artist is hoping to do a GPS related work, and is seeking people to carry logging devices. Maria Scileppi: http://livingbrushstroke.tumblr.com/

Friday 2010.11.26
Buy Nothing Day (since 1992). International celebration of consumer awareness and simple living. Yearly. Day after Thanksgiving.
Very real global day of protest against the corporate brainwashing which leads to the un-sustainable Western hyper-consumerist culture. Includes anti-commercials and events at the world's largest malls. Intentionally occurs on the biggest shopping day of the year. See the website for more info. http://adbusters.org/bnd
I just spoke with Maria Scileppi: http://livingbrushstroke.tumblr.com/. She's going to wait till January. It sounds like she might have up to 60 logging devices, which means 60 riders are like different colored brushes tracing the line of the ride.
I'll be out of town this Friday, but I plan to work with Maria in January to help get the logging devices distributed and collected. Considering January is a Polka Mass, beer and punk polka should be incentive enough to ensure she gets all her logging devices back.
Wish I would be with you all Friday riding up and down Michigan Avenue chanting "While you are shopping, bombs are dropping!" Give 'em an extra dose of Hell for me ;^)

I think this is a very cool idea. Let me know if she is looking for volunteers.
