Does such compendium of bike-related Chicago and Illinois laws and regulations in a handy pocket-size format exist? If not, may be it should? (I can volunteer as a typesetter . . . :)

Cards summarizing the bicycle related laws in Illinois are available from the League of Illinois Bicyclists ( http://bikelib.org ) You can also print your own from a .pdf file on the LIB website:

Never talk to cops

The only things you should say to a cop are:

Am I free to go?
No, I do not submit to an illegal search.
I exercise my right to remain silent and would like to speak to my lawyer.
No, I am not resisting.
Please don't taze me bro -ow, OW OOOOOOOWWWWW AAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!

(hopefully they just pulled the tazer and not the gun by mistake...)
