Anyone who knows me knows that I have no special love of police. Nevertheless, this story is so outrageous - even for NYC - that I have to question whether a detail or two is missing or incorrect. If not, that one should be pretty easy to clear in court. Not that going to court is a productive or satisfying use of anyone's time.
