Hello

Last week, in the calendar section was the First Annual BlackHawk tour, a ride that was going to visit all the places the BlackHawks have played in or at. I arrived at the clock tower at 8 am, the ride was supposed to start at 8:30 NO ONE showed up. I drove from Bartlett. Anyhow, does this happen often?

I'd say it's pretty rare that no one - not even the ride leader - shows up.

It isn't listed as cancelled on the CCC website - http://www.chicagocyclingclub.org/rides/index.asp?nmonth=10

Maybe Joe can shed some light on what happened.
Hi Alan:

I was to be the leader of the ride and did arrive at the Clocktower at about 8:20 AM and waited until about 8:45. When nobody showed up I went home. I was very disappointed that no one came and would have given the ride even if there was just a single rider. It was especially discouraging because the weather was actually quite nice. I attributed the lack of showing to the fact that I had scheduled this ride so late and close to the actual date of the ride (the previous Monday). I plan to try again with this ride, probably next spring and hope you can make it then. I also will be leading a football nostalgia ride Sunday after next (October 24) and also extend an invitation to join us then. I apologize for any inconvenience but I was there and am sorry we missed each other.
