Suburban bike advocacy opportunities

Hey Chainlinkers, especially suburban Chainlinkers,

Mount Prospect and Palatine are getting ready to produce bike plans! There are two upcoming meetings that are open to the public.

Also, for bike, walk, transit advocacy, Evanston is planning a Chicagoland Car-Free Day rally and is looking for some volunteers:

Ethan, Thank you Thank you for this.

You never know how much this is needed and appreciated. Do we need to get more public there on Oct 6? If so, We need to act ASAP. I was in the city hall and the public library yesterday, as I always do, checked the events calendar on the wall, but haven't seen this there.

May I suggest (and volunteer) to hang fliers at bike shops, schools and coffee shops etc.? Please let me know how can I be of any assistance.. I live here, this is my city, I outta help plan for a better cycling city that I and my children can ride safely!

Hey Cigdem, glad you are interested in spreading the word! These meetings just got scheduled so Active Trans and both communities have just started outreach.

I've attached a flyer for the Mount Prospect meeting that you can distribute.
