2 bikes in a scrapper Truck on Ashland/Altgeld

Noticed a scrapper truck on Ashland/Altgeld that had a dark forest green Trek 800 antelope w/red lettering and a female Schwinn dark brown 10 speed in it.No rust on the bikes.Noticed the truck on Sunday afternoon and went by it again this morning at about 7:30 and the truck is still in the same spot on the east side of Ashland by a CAR/X shop.Looked on the registry and didn't see anything.Just thought I would put it up here.

Just rode by scrapper truck hasn't moved but the Trek bike is gone.I hope it found a good home.Schwinn still there.It has a VCR cord tied around it.

Very cool of you to alert people, Ace Man!

It is ALLEGED that scrappers steal bikes and sell them to a used bike shop. (Said bike shop denies this, of course.)

I also keep my eyes peeled for non-junky bikes in scrapper trucks.
