I have an older mavic hub, a 566 I believe.  And I need to replace my bearings.  But I don't have the special six pin tool to remove the dust caps.  If anyone has one to possibly buy off of or maybe borrow, I would greatly appreciate it!  Please don't recommend a common pin spanner.  Tried that and it just doesn't have the torch in this case.  Thanks.

Brandon.

P.s.  You can just message me on here if you have info on one.

Call the Recyclery or West Town Bikes, they both host open shops and may have the tool you need.
thanks. will do.
five bucks at Nashbar.
Plus $5.99 shipping for orders under $25 :(

Great prices but rotten shipping charges IMHO. Unless one is going to order more stuff from them ($6.99 shipping for orders $25-50) it is a bit prohibitive. Although $10 isn't bad if you really need it. If one rides enough servicing bearings is not something you'll only do once in the lifetime of bike.

I looked at Amazon but couldn't find this tool at all with a cursory search. I pretty much only order stuff online if I can get free "supersaver shipping" and wait to order stuff until I have $30 worth of stuff to activate the free shipping at Amazon.

Otherwise I just buy it at my LBS. I've been using "The Bike Lane" lately because their prices are nearly as good as Amazon.

so uh... the tool. yeah. it broke. like right away. but i appreciate the idea. haha! some friends are going to help me make a tool so instead of having to find one at a shop every time i need to replace my bearings, i'll have it.

That's what I find with anything I've purchased from Nashbar. They are on my boycott list.
