yeah. this reminds me of the animation for jay leno vs. conan o'brien...the cage match. hilarious interpretation of events.

i love china...except the bad pet food, lead and cadmium in paints, three gorges damn displacing millions of people, coal power plants creating smog, taking over tibet, extracting resources from africa, horrible human rights...etc. if they keep it up, they'll be just like the usa. oops. anyway...i just like the animations. they can kick our butts.

that's a lot of animation effort to show what's very much the wrong plane. the actual plane is about 1/4 the size of a 747. it would have been much easier to animate with fewer passengers in the frame.

and uhm, Mark, this is definitely a Cantonese clip from Hong Kong. your rant is akin to blaming Andorra for Napoleon's ruthless warring. you're correct in this, though: China isn't doing anything worse than what America did to its land and people in our own ruthless quest for rapacious gluttony (and on behalf of one-fourth as many people). we are, after all, the country of banana republics and the Trail of Tears, swill milk and pink slime, lynching thousands and stealing a million square miles of Mexico, mountaintop removal mining and <5% of the world's people belching out 29% of all CO2 ever emitted. pot, kettle, etc.

yeah, i see your point. hong kong is now a part of china, but a little different. and you're right, my rant was meant as a joke at how china's news seems just as biased and ignorant as stuff coming out of america's news. but i'm continually reminded of all the "modernizing" china's going through...which is hard to pin down to any one area, also just like america. it's for another thread, but china seems to be becoming another america, and their animated news is another sign of their hunger for such "captivating" stories.
