After many months of preparation, I am ecstatic to announce that Active Trans is officially launching the Crash Support Hotline!

The Crash Support Hotline is a tool for bicyclists and pedestrians that have been in a crash. We provide resources and help determine the next steps after a crash; such as finding a lawyer, submitting property
claims and even directing people to financial aid for victims of hit and
run crashes.

People can call the Crash Support Hotline 24/7 and any missed calls will be returned within 24 hours. The hotline is currently being answered by staff, but we will soon be training several volunteers to
field calls. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Rebecca@activetrans.org.

I’m personally very excited to be offering this service to cyclists and pedestrians. Having been involved in a crash, I know what a valuable resource the Crash Support Hotline is and I feel that it is a unique
and one of kind program that I am proud to be a part of.

The Crash Support Hotline is NOT a substitute for 911. If you are at the scene of a crash, please contact 911, get a police report and do not refuse medical attention.

With that said, I hope none of you ever have a reason to call the Crash Support Hotline, but in case you do – know that someone will be on the line to help you.
