Like the REM song says - - let's be happy on Chainlink rides...

:-)

Let's not put ourselves in a bad light or situation.  Be nice to the neighbors.  Be safe. Stay within the law.  Show respect!

Corking is cool - it makes the road safe for cyclists.  So is showing the power of a huge group of bikers who can positively make a difference in people's attitudes towards commuting, etc. and making the world a better place!

You'll notice there's a bike right at the beginning of the video -

Thanks, I havn't really listened to this song in a long tome. Is it really all it seems, no sinister undercurrent? Just a nice happy romp? Looks like me riding the bike. Glad I got the drink near the end!
The song is meant to be ironic because REM went to college and stuff and they are better than regular punters who just want happy music about having fun.
I remember when REM came out with Green, their first on a major label. They went from the brilliant album 'Document' on IRS to this crap on Warner Brothers. This was the beginning of the end for REM, as far as this guy's concerned.
reminds me of when people still liked me ... I will listen to this song over and over until I expire...
Everything after the Chronic Town demos was crap.

This is very true.

Know what I love? I love when people want to say something about an event or incident that they didn't like or are unhappy with and they put up posts that *kinda* say something about it rather then addressing the issue directly...

OK, so obviously there was some sort of ugliness on the Marauders ride last night.
I think it's important to remember that unless Leah declares that the chainlink is a sponsor of a ride or event, the chainlink is only a tool being used by the user who uses it to post or publicize an event-- even if the Midnight Marauders rides didn't predate the chainlink by several years, I think it's getting into very murky territory describing it as a "chainlink ride".

I dunno, I think that part's kinda fun . . I've already come up with umpteen scenarios for what happened on the ride that I'm sure are much more interesting than what really happened :-)

Yep. I chose the "synchronized flatulence" option on the poll.
Yup. Unhappy is SOOOOO much better.

I think you missed the point of my post...

It was not 'synchronized flatulence,' I would have been proud if that where the case.

It's COOTIE, like flies buzzing around a matted up set of dreadlocks.

Hey CutiePie, if you do not stop putting yourself down, next time I see you I will punch you in the throat.

On a side note: Now I have REM on the brain...ah strange currencies.

yeah what he said (and Adriana the beer buying goddess).

know what I love ? when people get a few statistics and try to provoke and take down
a nice friendly forum with distractions and diversions. and they are always right and we
are always wrong (ooops....I meant "I am always wrong"). funny - I am always wrong
and **they** never even read my responses. amazing. like extreme political pundits -
we used to joke and say that 'they could mail their responses in advance" to a question / issue.

OK - now I'm gonna go buy some __Orange Crush__ and add some alcohol....yummmy. LOL
