You can buy brake and shifter housing in pretty much any length you want. You just need to cut it to needed lengths, reopen the cut ends with some kind of poking tool, and file the roughness off the end. Ferrules (the silver end caps) can be reused sometimes, but having some on hand wouldn't hurt.
