Kevin, I don't see any reason why it isn't appropriate. This is after all under the category of General Discussion. When you're at a Chainlink bar night do you interrupt conversations when they stray form bike related topics? If the goal is to make the Chainlink into a community then broader topics applicable to everyone must be explored. Otherwise the Chainlink is no different than bikeforums.net.
Moreover, there is a significantly large number of politically active people in the Chicago bike community than I think you are aware.
You realize this violates the constitution right?

Ali, "So what?" Because if we as citizens allow this - then with a stroke of a pen the President can kill anyone without any of our constitutional protections. Thus completely bypassing what little rights we as American's have provided to us by the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The separation of powers constructed during the foundation of America will be utterly without meaning. AND this is exactly the kind of power the Monarchies of Europe possessed that so disgusted the founders that we had a revolution.
That's what.
OK let me educate you on how these people think, maybe I can just put some sense into your jaded way of looking at things...I am originally from the region and am very familiar with threat of terrorism...Best way to fight these bastards are terrorize them back...
So it's the "carbon-based" life form option. Just checking.
