A buddy of mind asked me to build him a fixed gear bike.  Great, I love doing it.  Problem is he gave me a pretty tough budget to work with.  I just picked up a Schwinn Paramount frame (PDG Series 3 - Not Waterford but still pretty cool) for what I think is a great price on eBay.  Now I need some wheels but don't have much money to work with.  I'm looking for machine rimmed 700c wheels that will take a fixed gear cog with axles long enough to fit a frame with 130 mm spacing in the back for between $50 - $75.  Challenging, I know.  Any ideas?

Thanks!

These don't have machined sidewalls, but there's no reason you can't use brakes on them other than the finish will eventually rub off. They're a little more than the price range you indicated, but I haven't seen any new ones that are cheaper.

I've had a set on my daily rider/ all weather bike for over two years now with no broken spokes or other problems beyond that the front could use a little truing. They're not especially exciting, but they are round and they roll.
Thanks! They look sufficient, but are apparently out of stock.
I have a guy i work with who has a lot of extra parts i can ask him if he is willing to sell anything he is moving to alaska in a month anyway so i will ask him and get back to you.
Those are one of the best deals in wheels right now. I have had two sets, one purchased online and one purchased through a local shop. Of the 4 wheels one would not hold true until I de-tensioned all the spokes and brought it back up to tension so you may want to do that before installing them.
Thank you! I would really appreciate it.

I think I know the wheelset you are talking about: Eightinch Amelia? How do you like 'em?

look for the guy who just stole all those wheels...im sure he's trying to get rid of them quick and cheap
Right, then I will sell them back to the previous owners at a profit then purchase an awesome wheelset. [Evil laugh and mustache stroke]
