I'm looking forward to not taking a gross amount of vitamin D in pill form everyday, and I'm looking forward to wearing dresses without three layers of tights underneath, but I actually am loving the super light bike traffic right now and how that means I always have a good place to lock up...
It's not so bad. I think last year was worse. We still have two or so months to go.(April is always iffy)
But I cant say that I will miss it when it is over though.

But in defense of winter the LFP is great during the winter months. I probably ride on it more in the winter than in the summer, when you have to deal with lots of fat waddling tourists.
yeah a ride year round this is my second chicago winter.

I'm loving this current winter-- even if it dumps snow ice and sleet from now until April I'll consider it better than the two previous years for winter cycling.
Aaron, do you ride in the wintertime?
I must saying bike traffic in the winter is nice because the only people riding are the ones that know how.

you should salute all of us who ride out there for 8 hours a day in any weather.

this winter ain't shit. 2 snow days so far? give me a fucking break. and most of you only ride for the commute and then tuck that sucker in.
The way I look at it...

We are hovering around 30, about a month ago we were hovering around 15 or so. I feel like summer's here already!
I've already shed my ski gogles and half my layers. Next to go, I figure about 40 or so, will be the balaclava (no offense Willow) and most of the rest of the layers.

By the naked ride I'll ready!
GRR I feel your pain...for me what's worse is not the cold, it's that grey, dreary bleakness that just linger and dampens the spirit. I lived in upstate NY for a while and while it's just as cold there, at least it was beautifully cold (not to mention abundance of sledding hills). The winter city scenery here? not so much.
yeah i know what you mean i used to live in hyde park, NY

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back, VD.
