Have to go down to Memphis next month for the day to take care of some business. Was thinking of taking my bike with me on the train. Anyone know how bike friendly the city is?

Never been, but I have a friend from there. Apparently there is one bike lane in the whole city.

I did ride in Memphis for 2 days in 2001. At that time, it was very bike unfriendly, from cars to pedistrians to the quality of the road surface. Old news for sure, I hope things have improved there. Make sure you visit the Peabody and watch the walk of the ducks.
i only went walking in memphis...with my blue suede shoes on...in the middle of the pouring rain
as friendly as you are cute looking... Drivers always pay more attention to someone attractive without a beard.

Note: The Memphis Bike Route will not officially open until Fall 2003. Bike Route signs and facilities (bike racks and route information signs) at Starting Points are anticipated to be installed at that time.

I wonder if they have been installed!
