Makes sense in a country where women could not vote until 1971 (they could vote in local elections since 1958).

shoot. I know if I ever catch someone stealing a bike of mine or stealing a bike in general, I wont hesitate in hanging them.

Hell in Texas you can shoot people for stealing your car or tresspassing on your land. I wonder if that applies to bikes also? Nice to know in some areas of the world old-style justice is still enforced on thieves.
