1564.3 after North Shore Century. extrapolation for 2024 up to 2206.

Less than an august month, I rolled 658 road miles to run up the totals to 2,814.7 miles Y-T-D. Making no significant progress in cutting into Curt(is)2023's lead, I now trail by 1,688.3 miles. (Feet are now giving me multiple issues.) The machine is showing significant wear and tear.

i really enjoyed Joy Ride :-)

3042.2 miles cycled in 2024 after 340.2 miles (336.4 outdoor / 3.8 indoor) for September.

271 days bicycled out of 274 in 2024.

With September's song of 626.6 miles rolled now over, I am facing the last quarter of the calendar with 3,441.3 miles Y-T-D. I trimmed roughly a century off Curt(is)2023, now trailing by 1,579.7 miles. (At mid-month, 9/12, I had cut the deficit to 1,430 miles, before a trip to northern Michigan had me bikeless for a week.)

1733.6 after Ninth Step Oktoberfest Almost-Century. extrapolation for 2024 up to, and may peak at, 2319.4.

3424.2 miles cycled in 2024 after 382.0 miles (all outdoor) for October.

302 days bicycled out of 305 in 2024.

1875.6 after Tenth Step Ride. extrapolation for 2024 up :-) to 2338.1

Switching bikes to her titanium Litespeed while I retire my aluminum Cilo-Vitus (for now at least) and get my Colnago B-Dream refreshed, I rolled 810.6 paved miles on the month of October. Sitting at 4,251.9 miles Y-T-D, I've cut another 300 miles off Curt(is)2023's lead, now trailing by 1,159.5 miles.  New pain centered in right shoulder. Lovely.

how do you like the Litespeed? rode with someone with a gravel Litespeed the other week!

does the new pain have to do with the new handlebars? aspirin? stretching? massage? acupuncture? 🤞

I don't know what the source of the new pain is, but it is growing. Not too quick to blame the new ride, but?? I have an even older Litespeed (from the mid 80s) that is my fave (and is in serious need of refreshing.) In any case, the Colnago B-Stay Dream is now "refreshed" (new wheels, new drive train, new brakes, new brifters) and back on the streets. Nevertheless, I will need to pursue some body work (massage / acupuncture / PT.)

1942.4 after Eleventh Step Ride. The view below was so shocking to see i gasped out loud. For years, they’ve been extending the railroad next to that route. It’s made the riding challenging but also been fascinating to watch. Where once there was construction, there now are thousands of seedlings. Extrapolation for 2024 down to 2310.9 oh well.
