What are great team/duo races in the US?

Hey all,

I'm looking to do some bike adventures next year that aren't your normal road races. Something like RAGBRAI but as a race, or like RAGNAR relay runs, just on bikes...or even biking and running. Road, gravel - it doesn't matter, I would just like it to be a team effort (team of 2 or max 4).

Any ideas?

Well, Trans Am does have a team option: http://transambikerace.com/

And in a similar vein, there's the Route 66 race and the Steens Mazama 1000. I believe bot of those allow pairs as well.
