Chicagoland Cycling Road Hazards: Alerts - Advice & Aternatives

Due to recent events, this perhaps may be a way for our community to share information on how to avoid current and ongoing hazardous conditions and/or any advice to add to protect ourselves while cycling.

The intended purpose is to help improve our odds for safe cycling in Chicagoland by sharing information with each other. We can suggest alternatives, strategies and perhaps instruct each other on how to deal with the cycling challenges we face here in the city.

Every day as cyclists we face risks. How can we minimize these risks, if possible? How can we avoid the possibility of collisions? Anything you can share to improve safe riding for others. Avoiding hazards, alternative route planning, riding strategy, etc.

This is an attempt to identify where the pitfalls to cycling lie in our city and help make riding safer.

Please feel free to share any information, ideas and advice that can be helpful in any manner to those in our community.
