Hey. Didn't know you sew. Smells funny huh? That happened to my one time when I was little, thought it would be funny to sew through the eyes of some gummie bears... Probably burned out the motor or something, but I really have no idea about such things. If it's a newer machine, I would say your best bet is a Joann Fabrics. They probably could refer you somewhere else if they can't help.
