Are helmets required just for this ride or will this be a prerequisite for all future Lincoln Square KMs?

This first ride is in partnership with the alderman's office and Chicago Cycling Club. It's the official thing to encourage people to wear helmets especially as we teach kids safe riding skills. I don't think anyone will be turned down if they don't wear a helmet, but it is highly recommended (and what we put on the fall ward ride flyer).

It's sort of a "kick-off" to KMs and family rides in Lincoln Square in the future.

The KM's after will be up to the parents and will run just like the KMs in other parts of the city.
