Next ride coming up in two weeks. Any thoughts about the route? Repeat either of the two previous rides or should we try something new?

I noticed that there is a 30th ward ride that morning 8:30AM til noon ending in Kosciuszko Park with refreshements. http://www.thechainlink.org/events/7th-annual-bike-the-30th-ward

I think going to Kosciuszko Park would be a manageable ride for us and it might be neat to rendezvous with the other group and spread the word of our ride. I'm not sure what time the other ride intends to arrive at the park but if others like the idea we could contact alderman Reboyras' office for details.

Here is my proposed route for the June 12- Palmer Square/Logan Square ride:
1. Loop the runner path in Palmer Square
2. R onto Kedzie North to the monument
3. cork traffic entering the monument circle
4. R onto Logan Blvd. East
5. R onto Fairfield South
6. L onto Altgeld East
7. L onto Washtenaw North
8. R onto Logan Blvd. East
9. R onto Maplewood South
10. L onto Altgeld East
11. L onto Campbell North
12. cork the traffic coming out from under the highway
13. cross Logan Blvd. and up onto sidewalk for 1/4 block
14. L onto Logan Blvd. West
15. Ride back to the monument
16. Cork the traffic circle- and ride around monument
17. R onto Kedzie South
18. Cork the Kedzie Blvd traffic & cross Kedzie
19. Return to the bunny playground & Mikos Ice!
20. Orange Loop is possible add on for older kids

We have a ride scheduled for this Sat July 10th.

anyone want to take the leader position and propose a route starting from the bunny playground in Palmer Square? Make your interest known, or you can offer to be a ride assistant/corker if you don't have the time to plan a route.

Just checking in about the August 14th ride. I can lead and/or help with route. Who else plans to be there and wants to serve as a sweep?

I missed the July ride so maybe someone can fill me in and we can plan from there.

It always helps to have at least a leader/head position and sweep/tail position to keep the mass together and prevent stragglers from getting lost. If you can coordiate with Karen & Todd for the 8th that would be great. And of course many of the adults always help chip in with the safety riding aspects too.

We're definitely planning on meeting to ride this Saturday, and I know others are too. Unfortunately I don't think I can effectively do sweep.
