Where shall we go?  How shall we get there?  My family is discussing this now and thinking Holstein Park with nearby access to a Mexican place on Lyndale and Western (formerly Think) and Thai place across the street.

Karen, I already posted the ride to the calendar (http://www.thechainlink.org/events/kidical-mass-spring-fling ), I was hoping to head through Humboldt Park and check out the newish playlot on Evergreen and California. I posted an easy peasy route in the comments section.
any museums nearby?  My nephew Mickey is 99% in.
The Puerto Rican art museum is at Augusta and Sacramento. The Garfield Park conservatory is always free and about 1 mile SW of there.
Hmmm..we might be able to make this one!
That sounds great, Ash.  I did go to the Kidical Mass page but not events, so I missed your posting.  Let's do your route, ending at the playlot.  If others want to go further to Garfield Park or eateries on Division, we can leave that to their discretion.  Personally, I think riding all the way to Garfield is too long of a ride for the 3 and 4-year-olds.  Is that Puerto Rican art museum actually open?

Are you saying we shouldn't feed the kids pastelilllos out of the roach coach wagon? ;)

I think that the IPRAC is open. Their website states that the renovation work was just to gift shop and cafe areas and the work was to conclude in 12/2010. Their Saturday hours are 10-5.

I think a sheltered spot may make the best destination.  It's very breezy this morning.  Though it's very inspiring to see the kids riding rain or shine.  See you all soon.
