Eat to ride, ride to eat

Calling all foodies, gastronomes, and gluttons alike! I'm proposing a monthly get-together that rides to a destination that offers delectable comestibles. Destination decided by the group. Initial ideas are Pizza Art, Hero's, Smoque. Endless options!

Hell should have had the burgers and shakes, Aveo. Tamelas were all right. Rode from Kenosha down to Superdawg. It was worth the 65 miles down, since when I came home, had to eat again, HAHAHAHA.

superdawg's dogs disappointed me the one time i went there, but i like the idea of after-meal milkshake...and the idea of NBtrail. i didn't come to hot doug's ride but would like to make it to the next.

I concur with Laurie Chipps on all fronts---Amitabul's. Holy shit, that place is good and located next to the Superdawg with a pleasant ride. Dumplings and milkshakes, come on!

just ate at a Loation resturant in Uptown, it was amazing...Sabai Dee and 5859 broadway. So yummy, kinda like thai but better! I vote we plan a ride that ends or at least stops there. Loas is between Thailand and Vietnam, fyi.

The Hot Doug's ride was great - thanks to the 8 others who went. I wonder if we could schedule an off hour (1:30 - 4:30) ride with several stops (a grub crawl/ride)? A theme or diversity of food would be fine, but it would be great if we could do 3-5 small dishes through the ride at restaurants/stands that wouldn't mind a group eating light at a reasonable time. We could do 4 tapas restaurants, a few mediterranean quick-bite shops, some BBQ joints.... as long as we eat.

the start point for us was the polish triangle (division/ashland/milwaukee)

Hey -- no knocking vegan buddhist korean food. I enjoy a hot dog any day, but I can also vouch for Amitabul's amazingness. It is also conveniently located near the beginning (or end depending on your start) of the North Branch Trail at Devon/Milwaukee/Elston and is a great accompaniment to any ride. But so is Superdawg, if you prefer...
