Eat to ride, ride to eat

Calling all foodies, gastronomes, and gluttons alike! I'm proposing a monthly get-together that rides to a destination that offers delectable comestibles. Destination decided by the group. Initial ideas are Pizza Art, Hero's, Smoque. Endless options!

Hey guys. I was actually thinking of just shooting down Halsted (I'm at Belmont)--could meet up at Belmont/Halsted & pick up Shaw at Division & Halsted maybe? (so you don't have to come all the way north first). Alternatively we could meetup at the totem pole and pick up Shaw at North Ave. I was thinking a little earlier since the Market closes at 3, but I'm flexible. You can email directly at ngo.dao@gmail.com or cell: 734-604-8026.

How does 1pm sound? Not sure of a good route from bucktown to the lfp but from the bike map, it looks like damen north to fullerton and then east on fullerton until you get to the lakefront path. From there, you just head north for about 2 miles or so and you'll be at the totem pole just after belmont harbor.

Perfect. What time? I'm new to the area, so from Bucktown-- best way to the meeting point??

Maxwell St Market would be great. The traditional meeting spot has been the totem pole on the lakefront path at Rec Drive.

So, in all the years I've lived in Chicago, I've never been to the Maxwell Street Market. Anyone up for checking out the Mexican street eats next weekend? (July 12th?) If it's no good we could always ride over to Pilsen.

There's a fantastic opportunity to ride and eat tomorrow. The Avondale neighborhood tour (http://www.thechainlink.org/events/voters-choice-ride-avondale) is going to descend upon Kuma's Corner (2900 W Belmont) afterward--around 4-ish. The Voters Choice Ride-Avondale starts 1PM at 3259 N Elston.

We could always just meet up at the Rec Drive totem pole around noon-thirty and decide from there!
