Eat to ride, ride to eat

Eat to ride, ride to eat

Calling all foodies, gastronomes, and gluttons alike! I'm proposing a monthly get-together that rides to a destination that offers delectable comestibles. Destination decided by the group. Initial ideas are Pizza Art, Hero's, Smoque. Endless options!

Wishbone in Lakeview is a good call cause i can walk there as I'm not riding yet...though not a particularly far distance for most.

so when do you want to meet up for food? I thought the Wishbone might be a good destination. Don't they give a discount to cyclists. It would nice to show up with a big group and get some recognition , yo.

In Kenosha we have several biker friendly places. Downtown is Common Grounds. This is a coffee shop which has a huge muti-tiered deck and a outside grill and patio on the backside. Food is decent and is 1/2 mile from train station. The deck and patio are closed until spring. During the spring and summer and on weekends this can be quite full. This over looks the harbor. Just north of here is The Coffee Pot. This is a full serve dinner. Food is homemade and is plentiful. Also serve beer and wine. Have a outdoor patio that seats 40-50 people. Plenty of bike parking. This place is full on weekends also. They open up early for the night riding crowd at 6:00 a.m. Like to eat here ever other day since I like to eat alot. Also serve burgers for breakfast. Scoops Ice Cream shop and candy store on the south end of downtown also is nice. Outdoor seating area and patio. The city is going to intall bike racks pretty soon. On the west side Ben&Jerrys Ice Cream shop, Qdoba's Mexican grill next door. Both have patios. Lots more to right about, but have to get to sleep. See ya Jim

I'm game for any time during the weekends. Anybody feel like a proper 2-wheeled ride & dine freakout this (or any upcoming) weekend?

per the thread in the main forum, tomorrow is the inaugural feast/ride. Meet at the totem pole around 12:30pm, and leave at 1pm.

bring destination ideas and we'll vote.

Jason - I'll let you put it up on the calendar if you'd like. :)
