Hey there folks! A great article over at GOOD, a collaboration of individuals, businesses, and nonprofits pushing the world forward, on farming in Detroit. It's featured in their first everGOOD 100 list.

Just heard back from the cupcakerator, who's hosting the GR Tweed Ride! It's on Saturday, 3 October - same tweed time, same tweed channel!

That's what it said at the site - in my post below. I've left a comment to get clarification. Will let you know...

Brian, There are a ton of photo galleries and blogs floating around and here is one blog I just stumbled upon from a rider of last weeks tour de troit. Enjoy.

Hey Brian - Great photos from last weekend. (Though it's hard to take a bad photo of such a pretty city in such beautiful weather.)

Especially cherish your photo of the southwest corner of Tiger stadium! That was the last day any part of the stadium was standing. There was a film crew across Michigan Ave all night taping the demolition.

Good to hear everyone enjoyed their weekend in the D.

Sir Aaron, a good gentleman of Detroit, has found out that the Tweedish Invasion is coming to Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday, 4 October at 4pm!!!

I think it would be a strapping good show to express support for our tweedy brothers and sisters with a modest appearance!

Are you up to the challenge???

It was good to meet you Saturday Brian. Look forward to getting out to Chi Town to do some riding.

I'd go for Todd's route, because of the residential architecture on those couple of blocks, but there really isn't anything difficult about it - pick whatever and it's fine. There is so little traffic (except for truck traffic on Fort near the bridge) that I don't think it makes a lot of difference.

I suppose this would be a good place to suggest that you try stopping by Le Petit Zinc some time on the weekend for a meal. It's on Trumbull a couple of blocks north of Fort.

The row house deal is actually on 6th. try not to blink or you'll miss it.

Yea thats good too Todd. And probably less traffic. Brian, you should recognise that from the BTT ride, only you'll be going backwards towards the train station. This way you'll get a south view of the station and then Honey Bee is at the bottom of that bridge on the left side. You should buy one of there t-shirts. Their cool!
