Michelin stars were recently awarded to various restaurants throughout Chicago, once again showing the world how amazing our culinary scene is. I have friends who work at a handful of these places, but have only eaten at very few of them.

Lets give this list an assessment.

First off, Ann Sather making the list seems like a joke to me.

Cumin: Food is decently priced, considering its location. Service can be slow, but is very helpful with suggestions. Food is good, nothing outstanding. Not entirely sure it should be on this list or not.

Twin Anchors: I worked here for almost a year and my cousin's the bartender. Great ribs, onion rings, and BBQ sauces... that is it. Chicken is almost always overcooked, pulled pork sandwiches have more sauce than meat, burgers are alright, but the buns ten to fall apart quickly. Don't really feel like this should be on the list even though it is a Chicago landmark.

Longman&Eagle: AWE-SOMEE. Pork belly sandwich is phenomenal. Great service and an overall great time.

more write-ups later.
