Ever see a bike parked someone where and think...that person has no idea how easy it would be to steal their bike!  Ever thought about leaving them a note?

Well, I have some ready made notes for you to leave on bikes.  When someone locks up their bike poorly, simply check of the violation, fold up the note and stick it on their pick.

When they come out, they'll see this:

I think folding is going to be important so it doesn't send a red flag to would-be theives about an easy mark.

Then they'll open up the note and see this:

Hopefully this can educate folks on proper locking and in what to do in case of a bike theft...and will let them know the importance of recording their serial number.

I only ordered a small quantity of these, but I'll be at the bike winter kick off, so let me know if you want a few of these sticky notes. Also, let me know other text that could be removed or added so we could reorder in the future.

Thanks for doing this Jami. I'd like to pick some up at Bike Winter kick-off.
Yes, I'd like some as well. Maybe Active Trans can give them out as well at their events?
Love it! Great work!
I "issued" 6 or 8 of these in the Loop today. It was fun. It'll be interesting to see what kind of feedback/blowback we get on the Chicago Stolen Bike Registry.
Awesome! I haven't actually issued any yet as I keep forgetting to bring them with me when I go outside at lunch. Whenever I have them with me, I notice that all of the bikes I see are nicely u-locked.
